Welcome to the Parent Teacher’s Association of the Franklin Oakes School, where Connecticut’s most elite families send their children to school. Widely known as being the best private school on the Eastern Seaboard, the Franklin Oakes School provides the highest level of preparatory education to children grades K-12.
Being a member of the PTA for the Franklin Oakes School is no small commitment, and committee members should ensure that they’re taking their role very seriously. To the parents in this committee, their children’s extracurricular and academic success is paramount to their future success, and any discrepancy or potential obstacle is seen as unacceptable. As such, in this committee, issues are to approached and broached with the utmost seriousness. Expect debate on topics of grading systems and standardized testing, as well as heated debate about extracurricular life at the school- varsity athletics, fundraisers, and the arts are just a few examples of things that will be sure to divide the committee.
