Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB)
Topic 1: All Roads Lead to Beijing
Topic 2: AIIB Expansion
A combination of regional members and outside investors comprises the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. The AIIB seeks to provide infrastructure to regions within Asia and the Pacific. With goals of sustainable growth for the region, specifically those that are struggling economically, the AIIB seeks to bring industry and employment and put Asia at the forefront of the economic world. Delegates must decide where and how to invest a substantial amount of capital provided by participating nations, and how to assure the investments can be as profitable as possible without exploitation.
Aastha Thakkar - Chair
Hi, my name is Aastha and I’m a junior majoring in economics with a minor in business. I studied abroad in London last spring and interned in the education sector in India over the summer. I am always looking for new places to explore and a new book to read. I’ve been a part of Model UN conferences since high school just like you all and am very excited about BosMUN this year!
