CHRISTINA LUCAS, SECRETARY-GENERAL
Christina is a Senior at Boston University majoring in Economics and International Relations with a specialization in international business and politics in Europe. She plans to further her education by receiving a J.D. and become a lawyer someday. Jupiter, Florida is her hometown but, if you know her, you know she prefers Boston’s snowy winters to Jupiter’s sunny beaches. She has a passion for salsa dancing, loves Hershey's Almond bars, and her guilty pleasure is binge watching Netflix.
Christina fell in love with the world of MUN her freshman year at Boston University. She found it to be the perfect fit given her interest in learning about different cultures, traveling, and working to gain new perspectives. Christina has been actively involved in Boston University's International Affairs Association since her freshman year and is thrilled to be serving on the Executive Board this year. She has the experience of staffing three BarMUN and three BosMUN conferences.
Outside of MUN, she is the President of CAS Student Government, an active member of CAS Dean's Host, and the Executive Vice President of Professional and Alumni Relations of Delta Phi Epsilon fraternity. Secretary General is a challenge Christina is honored to undertake; she can not wait to get started and make this the best BosMUN yet!
MINYOUNG KIM - DIRECTOR GENERAL
Minyoung is a Junior in Boston University double majoring in Political Science and International Relations specializing on foreign policy and security studies in the Asia region. Minyoung has been involved in Model UN since her freshman year high school, hailing from South Korea to South Carolina, as she started the first MUN club in her high school. Minyoung is continuing her passion in international affairs in Boston University as she serves as the President of BU's Korean Diplomatic and Political Association (GroupIRean) and having served in our sister collegiate conference, Boston Area Model UN Conference as the CIO in her sophomore year. Out of school, Minyoung interned with the Consortium on Gender, Security and Human Rights and will be working with Center for Strategic and International Studies this summer. Minyoung hopes to one day work for South Korean foreign service. In her free time, Minyoung enjoys drawing portraits and running by the Charles River. Minyoung is extremely honored to serve as the Director-General of the Sixteenth Boston Invitational Model UN Conference and cannot wait for BosMUN weekend!
SHIVANSH CHATURVEDI - CONFERENCE AFFAIRS DIRECTOR
Shivansh - or Shiv, if you prefer - is a sophomore Trustee Scholar in the Kilachand Honors College, studying Economics and Statistics. While born and raised in six cities across India, he has spent the last seven years in Nairobi, Kenya: the place he calls home. Throughout his time in Kenya, Shivansh was heavily involved with MUN, and attended international conferences around the world as co-president of the MUN program at his high-school. His international exposure and upbringing, combined with his love for economics, have led to his hope to work for the UN towards economic development and sustainability. Shiv also serves on the Executive Board of BUIAA as Treasurer, is an Ambassador for the Kilachand Honors College, a guitarist, a Kanye West enthusiast, and an international travel aficionado (23 countries down, countless more to go). He can't wait for BosMUN XVI and hopes to help make it the best one yet!
LIZZIE OCAMPO - OUTREACH DIRECTOR
Elizabeth is a sophomore studying International Relations with a concentration on Economics, Politics and Business. Originally from southern California, she decided it was time for a change and chose to come to the opposite end of the country to experience life on the East Coast. (And yes, she had seen snow before coming to Boston.) Last year at BosMUN, Elizabeth served as a Chair for the Historical Crisis Committee of Ataturk’s Cabinet. Her love of Model United Nations goes all the way back to her freshman year of high school. After participating as a delegate for so many years, she is incredibly excited to be on the Secretariat for this conference. When she isn’t working on all things MUN, you can find her either working in the BU Student Activities Office, walking down Newbury Street, at a concert [artists she thinks everyone should be listening to: Chet Faker, Lucius, Woodkid, AURORA, MisterWives, Alabama Shakes, BØRNS, Cold War Kids and Leon Bridges], watching The Office, or scrolling through Yelp for the next great restaurant to try.
MICHAEL YANG - OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
Born and raised in the great state of Texas, Michael decided to escape the desert heat in Boston. He is currently a junior studying International Relations with a focus on foreign policy and security in the European region, though he did not discover Model UN until attending BU. He enjoys traveling to other countries and is continuing a tradition of trying a burger in each one (9 so far). All that aside Michael is really looking forward to helping make BosMUN XVI run as smooth as possible.
ALBIE TRISURA - TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Albie is a sophomore studying Business Management (concentration in Finance), with a secondary field in International Relations. His life goals include becoming a successful entrepreneur, starting a design firm, and working in Maison Valentino. Albie has been active in the MUN world since his freshman year of high school and has participated, organized, and chaired in many MUN conferences including BosMUN and BU’s collegiate conference, BarMUN. He actively participates in political advocacy and is privileged to have interned at the Ministry of International Affairs of his home country, Indonesia. In his free time, he enjoys travelling, reading great books (esp. Murakami & Kafka), cooking, and creating visual arts projects. He is an avid fan of music; his favourites include Radiohead, David Bowie, Björk, Carla Bruni, Portishead, The Velvet Underground, Edith Piaf, and Efek Rumah Kaca. He looks forward to working with the staff, faculty advisors, and the delegates to make BosMUN XVI a great conference!
JOHN BENDUCCI - USG OF GENERAL ASSEMBLY
John is a senior in the Questrom School of Business concentrating in International Management, Marketing, and Organizational Behavior. Raised in a NY Sports household in Bergen County, NJ, you can imagine the dilemma that arose after choosing Boston for college. Returning from a semester abroad in London, John is eager to get back on campus and help make this the best BosMUN yet. Outside of MUN, John enjoys exploring, pretending to know things about sports, and binge watching reality television classics such as Survivor.
NICHOLAS STENSENG - USG OF SPECIALIZED
Nicholas, or Nick, is a sophomore here at Boston University in the College of Arts and Sciences studying Political Science and International Relations with a focus on Foreign Policy and Security Studies and a regional focus on Europe. Nick started his Model United Nations career as a freshman at Huntington Beach High School in Huntington Beach, California and has had the privilege of attending over 17 Model UN conferences notably RHSMUN in San Francisco, BMUN at UC Berkeley, and SAIMUN held outside Dublin, Ireland. Through BUIAA Nick has participated with BosMUN XVI and looks forward to continued involvement with both the BarMUN and BosMUN programs. When not participating with Model UN, you can often find Nick on the Quidditch pitch as a beater on the BU Quidditch team. Nick is looking forward to the great level of debate brought to the Specialized Committees and is honored to be your USG.
NAOMI CAROLAN - USG OF CRISIS
Naomi is a current junior at Boston University, majoring in International Relations and minoring in Korean. She grew up in Atlanta and has yet to adapt to Boston weather. Naomi started Model UN her sophomore year of college, and BosMUN XVI will be her 6th conference. Apart from Model UN, Naomi takes photographs and practices Krav Maga in her free time. Naomi's career aspirations consist of becoming a professional magician and licking her elbow. However, since she can do neither, she will most likely settle on being a diplomat.
LOUISE CARBERY - USG OF ECOSOC
Louise is a Senior studying Political Science with a minor in Public Health and Deaf Studies. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Louise got involved with Model United Nations her freshman year of college and has loved every minute of it. Outside of all things Model UN, Louise enjoys following political campaigns at the State and National level, quoting 30 Rock, and reminiscing about her time as an exchange student in Denmark. For her fourth and final BosMUN, she is excited to be a member of the secretariat and hopes to make this BosMUN the best one yet!
