Overview
This committee will function as a traditional crisis committee, with an emphasis on teaching foundational MUN crisis skills. The committee will function on a two-pad note system, where delegates will be given two legal notepads to write their crisis notes on, and the backroom takes one pad per cycle. Each of the two pads should be filled with notes addressed to one external contact, such as a mother, spouse, or powerful relative. The note cycle duration will vary depending on staffing and the speed of committee debate. On average, it will take 30 minutes to process one pad and collect the second. Crisis updates will take place interspersed with committee, likely coinciding with the note-collections.
Topic: War Council of the Pandavas
After years of exile, betrayal, and political maneuvering, the Pandava brothers now stand on the brink of an epic conflict against their cousins, the Kauravas, for the throne of Hastinapura. Their kingdom was taken from them through deceit, and despite attempts at diplomacy, reconciliation now seems impossible. Across the subcontinent, kingdoms and warriors choose sides in what is promised to become one of the most devastating wars in history. The Pandavas, guided by powerful allies and divine counsel, must now prepare to reclaim their rightful place through battle. Even as armies gather on Kurukshetra, questions of morality, duty, and fate loom over every decision they make.
Within the Pandava war council, legendary warriors, divine allies, and brilliant strategists must prepare for a battle unlike any the world has seen. Every decision, from alliances and battlefield strategy to moral dilemmas, will shape the outcome of the coming war. Should they pursue diplomacy one final time, or accept that conflict is inevitable? What sacrifices must be made to uphold dharma and restore justice? As tensions escalate and armies prepare for confrontation, the Pandavas must determine how far they are willing to go to reclaim their kingdom. Will the Pandavas reclaim their rightful kingdom, or will the cost of victory prove too great for the world to bear?
