General Assembly committees (GA) are large deliberative and policymaking bodies, usually comprised of most, if not all, 193 Member States of the United Nations. They discuss significant, broad topics that affect large areas and populations. These bigger committees represent the traditional role of the United Nations, focusing on building consensus through multilateral negotiation and comprehensive debate. Delegates in GA committees are challenged to navigate diplomacy on a global scale, balancing national interests with international cooperation.
